In the selection of the first Xiniu award sponsored by the Western Science-Technology Periodicals Union, “Coal Geology & Exploration”sponsored by CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute was selected from more than 300 sci-tech periodicals, won the first XiNiu “Top ten outstanding Chinese periodicals” Award. “Coal Geology & Exploration” was firstly published in 1973 and has been changed to a monthly magazine since 2022. It is a comprehensive scientific and technical journal with the longest founding time and the most influential in the field of coal geology, which is open to the public both at home and abroad. Since the founding of the Journal, 6567 papers have been published and 1.979 compound factors have been cited more than 56,000 times and more than 1.06 million times’ downloads. The Journal has been awarded the 5th China Fine Science and Technology Journal Award, the Second Prize of China Coal Society Science and Technology Journal Award, Shaanxi Province Fine Science and Technology Journal Award and other honorary titles.
