This technology addresses the challenges of directional long-hole drilling in layered soft coal mining areas, enhancing penetration depth and rate in fragmented seams while ensuring gas safety and control. It utilizes pneumatic screw drilling tools as bottom-hole power drills, accompanied by a measurement system for directional drilling. It has been successfully applied in coal mines such as Pansan Mine, Zhangji Mine, Dingji Mine, Qinglong Mine, Zhuzhuang Mine, Taoyuan Mine, and Wangpo Mine. The technology is mainly used for advancing through fragmented soft coal seams, gas control in advancing belt areas, and pre-drainage of working faces, setting new records for directional drilling depth in soft coal.
