Grouting, soil covering and fire extinguishing works for the debris heap in Sangshuping Coal Mine of Hancheng Branch ,Shaanxi Coal & Chemical Industry Construction (Group) Co., Ltd.

1. Introduction

The gangue of the debris heap in Sangshuping Coal Mine of Hancheng Branch, Shaanxi Coal & Chemical Industry Construction (Group) Co., Ltd., has accumulated to 9×106m3, and the highest point of the "mountain" formed by artificial accumulation has reached 630m above sea level, which is more than 30 meters higher than the surrounding hilltops. The debris heap covers an area of about 86,667m2, which is a typical gully type debris heap in China. There are some ecological environmental problems, such as poor stability of the debris heap, explosion caused by spontaneous combustion of the debris heap and air pollution caused by spontaneous combustion of the debris heap.

2. Treatment solution

After comparison of multiple schemes, for Sangshuping Debris Heap the comprehensive treatment scheme of "rebuilding gangue conveying track-carrying out retaining works-grouting and fire extinguishing-leveling messy gangue piles-covering with soil-greening" was adopted.

3. Construction situation

The debris heap was lowered from 630m to 580m above the sea level, the 1 million cubic meters of gangue were pushed and rolled, 11 steps of gangue hill and 2 retaining walls were built. 1 fire-fighting pool was built, At the debris heap, the Grouting and fire-fighting area was 33,333m2, tree-planting and landscaping. area was over 46,667m2.

4. Achieved Accomplishment

It is a miracle in the fire extinguishing works of the coal mine debris heaps in China to completely destroy the fire source of the debris heaps that have been burning for more than 30 years, which provides a good engineering demonstration for the fire extinguishing of the similar debris heaps.

5. FAQ
