Recently, the 2.22MWp rooftop distributed photovoltaic project of the intelligent drilling equipment and coalbed methane development industrial base undertaken by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation.
The project makes full use of the industrial plants and building roofs in the base, installs photovoltaic modules, adopts the building photovoltaic integration (BIPV) technical solution to build photovoltaic power stations, and utilizes the "self-sponsored self-use, surplus power grid" operating model, with an estimated annual average power generation of 2.115 million kWh, 70% of which can be directly consumed at the base to replace grid electricity, and the remaining part can be consumed online to obtain income. Combined with the built "shallow ground source heat pump heating and cooling system", the industrial base can be nearly zero carbon emission. According to data, it is estimated that the project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 44,000 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by 313.9 tons during the operation period, providing a steady stream of green energy for the production and life of the industrial base, and at the same time contributing geothermal power to the construction of near-zero carbon industrial parks and green cities.
In the future, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute will continue to innovate, strive to develop the geothermal photovoltaic industry, and provide "green solutions" for low-carbon comprehensive energy supply.
