Recently, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute issued the first large geological vertical field model GeoGPT in China. The model is based on its engineering and service experience in the field of coal mine geology for many years, closely combined with the mine basic information system and industry characteristics, which has been successfully applied to intelligent mine transparent geological support.

Restricted by resource occurrence conditions, development and utilization process complexity, technology and equipment level, the coal industry is often faced with challenges all the time, such as low cross-utilization rate of massive multi-source data, lack of knowledge and skills of production personnel, low utilization rate of intelligent equipment, and difficulty to effectively query historical data, which has become the main bottleneck restricting the safe and efficient coal mining. The emergence of GeoGPT can successfully solve the above problems and can be described as the right time.

GeoGPT is a combination of vertical geological data and general-purpose large-scale models. It has a large scale of parameter models, including local models with different parameter scales of 1 billion, 10 billion and 30 billion, which can flexibly adapt to various mainstream software and hardware ecosystems, and quickly realize model training and low-cost model reasoning. GeoGPT integrates a wide range of geological knowledge base, so that the model can deeply understand and apply professional knowledge in the field, provide users with accurate and professional geological information, and can provide professional answers and solutions to complex problems; At the same time, focusing on vertical field training, it has the ability of transparent geological knowledge map query, business interface invocation and multi-round dialogue in context. It can also obtain accurate answers through the correlation score embedded in the knowledge base to ensure the correctness of the answer results.

Based on GeoGPT, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute has developed an intelligent robot with transparent geological knowledge named "Xiaowu". The product has core capabilities of knowledge management and retrieval, data collection and analysis, intelligent decision making and event handling, which supports the reception of various problems and feedback results in natural language. By analyzing the data of manually input geology, multi-source heterogeneous data measurement, automatic collection of detection sensors, surveillance video and multi-platform production control system, it can recommend the candidate solution to users in emergency, and realize one-click disposal, which greatly reduces the response time of emergency incidents and improves the reliability of efficient production in coal mines.
