More than 2/3 of the 200 coal mines in Mongolia and Shaanxi coal mining field are encountering with the problem of strong rock pressure caused by large-area hanging of hard roof in mining process, which may induce dynamic disasters such as hydraulic support collapse, floor heave and large deformation of roadway. Sudden collapse of large area hanging roof has great destructive power and can directly damage underground roadway, equipment and pipelines, and causing serious threaten to the lives of underground personnel and the safety of equipment and property.
Underground Directional Drilling and Multi-stage Hydraulic Fracturing technology is proposed creatively by CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute to effectively solve the problem of strong rock pressure caused by large-area hanging roof. Major breakthrough and satisfactory results have been achieved. This technology has been successfully applied in Boertai, Baode, Yujialiang, Shigetai and other coal mines of Shendong Company. Months ago, CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute successfully won the bid for Specialized Service Project of Underground Directional Drilling & Multi-stage Hydraulic Fracturing for Shendong Coal Mine in Shenhua Group, with a contract value of more than 6 million USD.
