Recently, the Xi'an Research Institute of China Coal Science and Technology applied the self-developed high-power directional drilling technology and equipment to demonstrate the drilling project in Baode Coal Mine of Shendong Coal Group, and completed the long-hole directional drilling along the coal seam with a main hole depth of 3353m. Moreover, China has created a new world record for directional drilling.
The Xi'an Research Institute started drilling construction from the 27th Lane of the Wind Farm in No.1, Wupan District, Baode Coal Mine. The drilling time was 21 days, running through the working area of the second panel, and the returning lane of No. 2 on the opposite side of the third panel. Successfully penetrated, the main hole depth is 3353m, the total footage is 4428m, the aperture is 120mm, and the top and bottom branches are 13 times. The target coordinate error of the borehole through the roadway is less than 0.15%. At present, the average daily gas drainage exceeds 5000m3.
The borehole broke the world record of the hole depth of the 2570m ultra-long directional borehole created by Xi'an Research Institute in Baode Mine in early 2019. The drilling project successfully achieved a significant increase in drilling depth and achieved ultra-long-distance high-precision mid-targets. It mainly due to the continuous innovation of Xi'an Research Institute in directional drilling technology and equipment research and development. Developed the ultra-long directional hole sliding drilling drag reduction technology and composite drilling trajectory control method in coal mine, which can improve the directional drilling drilling ability and drilling efficiency of the underground mine.
The ZDY15000LD directional drilling independently developed by Xi'an Research Institute was applied. Equipment, YHD3-3000 mud pulse wireless measurement while drilling system, large through-hole high-strength cable-free directional drilling tool, realizes stable transmission of pressure pulse signal of wireless drilling while drilling at depth of more than 3000m. In addition, Xi'an Research Institute solves the problem of large water consumption and large discharge volume of ultra-long hole construction, and realizes the circulation of directional drilling flushing liquid from "open" to "closed". The leap has promoted the development of green drilling technology and equipment in coal mines.
The successful implementation of the 3353m super long through-oriented directional hole along the coal seam is a new milestone in the development of downhole directional drilling technology and equipment. It indicates that China has reached the international leading level in the field of directional drilling in the underground, and promoted advanced gas control in large coal seam areas. Technological advances such as the Conduit Lane project, water hazard prevention and geological exploration are of great significance.
