On January 15, on-site conference of “Zhangzhou Area Deep Seismic Reflection Exploration Project” was successfully held.
Fujian Provincial Seismological Bureau organized and convened the meeting of the project undertaken by CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute. Liu Jianda, Director of the Fujian Seismological Bureau, Liu Cheng, Deputy General Manager of CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute and other relevant leaders attended meeting. The deep seismic reflection exploration work survey line spans four counties and cities in Zhangzhou area: Zhangpu, Longhai, Pinghe and Nanjing. It is 100 kilometers long and has a seismic depth of about 30 kilometers. It has 418 shots and more than 3,000 seismic instruments to control the Changle-Zhaoan seismic fault zone. The project can provide strong data support for the comprehensive risk survey of natural disasters in Fujian Province, and provide reliable scientific basis for earthquake cause analysis, urban planning and earthquake disaster prevention and mitigation. In the meeting, Liu Jianda fully affirmed the preliminary work of the project team, and he hoped that CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute could build the project into a model project in Fujian Province. Liu Cheng said that CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute will give full play to the advantages of construction organization, management and technical equipment to build the project into a model project for deep seismic reflection exploration. And make contributions to the deep structural exploration research, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in Fujian Province.
