Tao Fan is a young technical backbone in the field of mine geological safety assurance. He has long been devoted to the research on methods and equipment for the detection of hidden water hazards in coal mines. Since joining the job, Tao Fan has presided over or participated in 13 scientific research projects such as the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Key R&D Program, and the National (Provincial) Natural Fund, published 45 academic papers, participated in the compilation of 4 Chinese books, and was granted 16 patents.
Tao Fan has made a number of innovative achievements in the mine transient electromagnetic method water hazard advanced detection technology, etc. These innovative achievements have been widely popularized and applied in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei, Anhui, Xinjiang and other places in China, contributing to the safety and efficiency of coal mining. He has successively won 13 scientific and technological awards, including the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award, the Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Award, the China Coal Industry Association Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Safety Production Science and Technology Progress Award, and the National Coal Industry Front-line Outstanding Young Scientist and Technological Worker.
