In summary of 2021, geothermal development marks one of the ten major events that represent the high-quality development of CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute.
CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute actively implements the new development concept, gives full play to the professional characteristics and comprehensive advantages of the enterprise, and steadily promotes the development, utilization and promotion of geothermal energy, and helps the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals to be achieved. On July 28th 2021, Institute of Geothermal Energy Development Technology and Engineering was established. Then a talent team continued to carry out technical research, and solidly promoted demonstration projects. It has built the Zhangqiu shallow geothermal energy demonstration project in Shandong, and promoted the “geothermal plus” clean heating demonstration project in the coal mines of Mongolia and Shaanxi. Two research projects of the company were approved as key geothermal R&D projects in Shaanxi Province, marking the rapid development of the geothermal industry and a new level of green and low-carbon transformation.
