On August 8, good news came from Tingnan Coal Company of Shandong Energy Zi Mining Group. ZDY20000LD directional drilling rig and supporting equipment, produced by CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute, successfully accomplished a 1506m directional drilling borehole in 402 working face. It broke directional drilling depth record (1,212m) in Bnchang coal field.
Since last year, CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute has conducted technical exchanges in Tingnan Coal Industry Company for many times, combined with the requirements of strengthening disaster prevention and control work. Engineers in the company researched and proposed a technical plan for using directional drilling to construct long-distance boreholes to cover the entire working face. Under careful guidance of technicians from CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute, ZDY20000LD directional drilling rig equipment, YHD3-3000 mud pulse wireless measurement while drilling system, large through-hole high-strength cableless directional drilling tool were adopted during the construction process. It took only 13 days to complete the designed 1506m borehole, which refreshes the historical record of Binchang coal field and provides safety guarantee for gas management.
The borehole reflects the leading advantage of CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute's underground directional drilling technology and equipment in the coal industry, which plays important role of promoting advanced gas control, water hazard prevention, geological prospecting, rock burst Prevention of and pressure relief in large areas of coal seams.
