Nine Competitive Industries | Manufacturing Of The Drilling Equipment

There are five manufacturing workshops and one general warehouse for the drilling equipment manufactured in Xi’an Research Institute. The workshops cover an area of about 28 000 m². The area for the test and check is about 4 000 m². It has over 230 sets of various special processing equipment. Currently, it has annual output of 1500 drilling rigs (including split drilling rig, crawler drill, truck mounted rig and other equipment.), 300 000 pieces of drilling pipes(including external flat pipe, spiral pipe, drilling pipe used for measurement while drilling , triangular pipe, fishing pipe and geological/petroleum drill pipes), 71 500 bits (including cemented carbide bits, diamond bits, diamond compact bits, bolt bits, coal seam gas/petroleum bits, reaming bits and DTH (down-the-hole ) hammer and matching bits).It is the largest production base for underground drilling equipment in the world. Relying on the core technology and professional research and development capability of intelligent drilling equipment, more than 80 patents of national invention have been authorized in the past five years, 18 industry standards and 50 enterprise standards have been compiled, more than 40 new products and processes have been developed, and more than 30 scientific research projects at ministerial and provincial-level have been completed. In 2017, the ZDY12000LD drilling rig created the world record of directional drilling of 2 311m in coal seam.
