CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute focuses on directional drilling, combined with the advanced regional treatment model of radial jet supplementation, and relies on the water-blocking theory of the coal seam floor aquifer and the grouting transformation layer optimization method to explore an emerging limestone water damage prevention and control method technology: Coal seam floor aquifer advanced regional treatment technology. This technology has the characteristics of advanced exploration and treatment practice, wide spatial treatment scope, and excellent water hazard elimination effect. Since 2011, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute has begun to explore the practical application of this technology, and for the first time carried out transformation in the underground sandstone aquifer of Jiaozuo Zhaoguyi Mine and the underground Austrian ash aquifer of Hancheng Sangshuping Coal Mine. Since then, this technology has been promoted and applied in Lianghuai, Hanxing, Huanghebei, Yongcheng, Ningwu, Zhungeer, Qipanjing, Weibei, and other coal fields. Through the application of this technology, a large number of coal resources threatened by water have been liberated, and the safety of water prevention and control in coal mines has been effectively guaranteed. At the same time, this technology has revolutionized the concept of water damage prevention and control on the roof and floor of coal seams and realized the transformation from local governance to regional governance, and process governance to the source.
