Hydraulic fracturing through directional drilling borehole can reformed the structure of coal and rock mass, increase the permeability of coal seam, and improve the effect of gas drainage. The depth of the fracturing borehole can reach more than 500m, and 5~10 hydraulic fracturing sections can be implemented to increases the permeability ahead of time, realizes the coal seam gas regionalization, scale accurate prevention and control. The technology has been applied in typical coal mining areas such as Yangquan, Hancheng, Jiaozuo, Xinjiang and Guizhou. Taking the hydraulic fracturing borehole of Xinjing Company in Yangquan Mining area as an example, the influence length of hydraulic fracturing borehole is over 300m, the maximum influence radius is 58m, and the average concentration of gas drainage from borehole is 72.27% within 3 months after fracturing, a good record of pure gas extraction with an average of 2475 m3/d in a single day. The application of this technology has effectively improved the efficiency of mine gas drainage and expanded the area of coal seam gas control.
