Recently, the hydrology monitoring system of Zambia Chambishi Copper Mine of China Color Africa Mining Co., LTD., undertaken by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute, passed the acceptance smoothly, providing a strong guarantee for water damage prevention and production safety in the mining area.
Chambishi Copper mine is located in Zambia Copperbelt province, geological structure is located in the world famous Zambia - Congo (gold) copper belt in central Africa to the south, the mining area of hydrogeological conditions are complex, the impact of water damage for a long time restricted mine production, in order to better solve this problem, China Color Africa Mining Co., Ltd. commissioned CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute to undertake the construction of hydrological monitoring system.
In the construction process, the project team has overcome many difficulties such as tight time limit, heavy task and complex working environment. On the basis of full investigation and demonstration, careful organization and scientific arrangement ensured the smooth completion and acceptance of the hydrological monitoring system. The system strengthens the early warning ability of water disaster accidents in mining areas, improves the level of intelligent construction in mining areas, and provides a strong guarantee for safe production in mining areas.
The successful implementation of the project has laid a good foundation for CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute to further explore the international market.
