Recently, National Energy Administration issued an announcement that the industry standard "Technical Regulations for Pneumatic Directional Drilling in Coal Mines" formulated by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute was officially promulgated and implemented.
Pneumatic directional drilling technology for underground coal mines is a new method of directional drilling construction in coal mines first created and applied by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute to solve the difficulties in directional drilling in broken and soft coal seams, low efficiency of gas extraction and treatment, and prominent contradictions in mine extraction and mining. It has repeatedly refreshed the record of directional drilling depth in broken and soft coal seams in coal mines, with the maximum hole depth reaching 607 meters, achieving significant gas extraction results, and has become an important technical means for gas extraction and management in broken and soft coal seams. At present, related achievements have been widely promoted and applied.
The industry standard promulgated and implemented this time systematically summarizes the rich practical experience of pneumatic directional drilling in underground coal mines in China over the years, and stipulates the applicable formation conditions, drilling equipment selection, drilling design, site requirements, drilling and completion processes, construction safety technical measures and other contents of pneumatic directional drilling technology in underground coal mines. It is an important basis and criterion for the design, construction, management, inspection and acceptance of directional drilling for gas extraction in broken and soft coal seams in underground coal mines. It is of great significance and engineering value to further standardize and guide the construction of pneumatic directional drilling in underground coal mines and promote the popularization and application of pneumatic directional drilling technology and equipment.
