Xi’an Research Institute signed the contract “The Third-Phase Technology Research and Service Project of Mining Water Prevention and Control for Bangladesh Coal Mine” with the consortium formed by Xuzhou Coal Mining Group and China National Machinery Imp. & Exp. Corp in August 2017. The contract period is 4 years, including providing hydrogeological supplementary exploration technology service, predicting water inflow, measures and suggestions for water prevention and control, and providing reliable technical support for mine safety.
Barapukulia coal mine, located in the Province of Dinajpur, Bangladesh, is the only modern coal mine in Bangladesh. Xi’an Research Institute has been providing technology consulting and service of water prevention and control for the coal mine since 1999, and has achieved good results. Xi’an Research Institute has carried out four demonstrations for mining water prevention and control of working face in Barapukulia coal mine up to September 2018. At present, Xi’an Research Institute provides on-site technical service for the third-phase hydrogeological supplementary exploration.
Bangladesh is an important country along “The Belt and Road”. The project is the first step for Xi’an Research Institute to respond to the national “The Belt and Road” strategy, and also an international project to for Xi’an Research Institute to develop its new internationalized strategy, actively expand overseas business and technical services, highlight its competitive technology, and enhance its international influence.
