From September 9 to 14 in 2018, the 45th International Association of Hydrogeologists (2018IAH) Congress was held in Daejeon, Korea. Wang Hao, deputy director of hydrogeology institute, and Zhao Chunhu, Ph.D. of R&D center of mine disaster control and environmental management of technology, were invited to attend the congress.
IAH Congress is an international event for water professionals. It offers new insights into how pioneering science, technological innovation and leading practices shape the major transformation in water management. The theme of the Congress was “Groundwater and Life: Science & Technology into Action”， and nine technical sessions provided a forum for original research related to the theme of the congress. 702 experts and scholars from 64 countries have attended the Congress. Director Wang Hao and Dr. Zhao Chunhu exchanged ideas and shared experience with hydrogeologists from other countries. The congress provides a good chance to promote and popularize new technologies and equipment of Xi’an research institute to international market.
