Recently, a water penetration accident occurred in China Huadian Group's Maohua Wantongyuan Coal Industry in Pinglu District, Shuozhou, Shanxi. After the accident, CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute received an emergency rescue notice from the National Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, and immediately sent water prevention experts to conduct rescue. After analyzing the causes of water inrush, studying the process of water inrush, and predicting the evolution of the disaster, "4+1" parallel operation rescue plan was formulated. "4" is to improve the drainage capacity of the central water storage and mining area water storage by means of drainage robots, large-flow drainage pumps, and laying two drainage pipelines. "1" refer to construct rescue operations on the ground via drilling to achieve the purpose of life detection and rescue. The rescue plan was highly recognized and fully affirmed by the headquarters.
