Recently, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology held a conference on industrial green development and policy training, recognizing outstanding enterprises in the first batch of carbon peak pilot projects in the industrial sector. CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute was honored as one of Shaanxi’s inaugural "Zero-Carbon/Near-Zero-Carbon Factories" for its innovative practices and remarkable achievements in green and low-carbon transformation. This accolade follows the prior recognition as a "National Green Factory," further solidifying its leadership in sustainable industrial development.
In recent years, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute has vigorously developed new quality productive forces, accelerated the adoption of clean energy, and strengthened the integration of digital and information technologies to empower green development, achieving notable results. The institute has implemented shallow-to-medium-deep geothermal energy projects and distributed photovoltaic power generation projects, enabling clean energy utilization for summer cooling and winter heating across its two campuses. The cumulative power generation has reached 1.8368 million kWh, equivalent to 225.74 tons of standard coal. Additionally, the institute has developed a campus-level energy management system and optimized production processes to achieve energy savings and carbon reduction in key procedures. The energy consumption per unit product has been reduced by over 40%, cumulatively saving 1,444 m³ of water and 1.925 million kWh of electricity. These efforts have facilitated the transition from traditional manufacturing to green manufacturing.
Moving forward, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute will continue to uphold the philosophy of green and low-carbon development, accelerate the green and low-carbon transformation of traditional industries, strategically plan the green development of emerging industries, and foster new green-integrated business models in manufacturing. The institute is committed to writing a new chapter in high-quality, energy-saving, and carbon-reducing development.
