Recently, the First Meeting of the Fourth Technical Committee and 2025 Academic Exchange Conference of the National Coal Mine Water Hazard Prevention and Control Engineering Technology Research Center was held at Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group. CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute, as a "national leader" in mine water hazard prevention and control, was invited to participate in this prestigious event.
The conference was attended by distinguished leaders and experts, including Zhou Dechang, Deputy Director of the National Mine Safety Administration; Liu Feng, Vice President of the China National Coal Association; and academicians Yuan Liang, Wu Qiang, Wang Yunmin, and Du Shigui from the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Representatives from CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute included Dong Shuning, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of CCTEG; Yao Ningping, General Manager of CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute; He Wenxin, Deputy General Manager; and Zheng Shitian, a "Great Country Craftsman."
The National Coal Mine Water Hazard Prevention and Control Engineering Technology Research Center was established in 2014 with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is jointly operated by Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), and Suzhou University, with Academician Wu Qiang serving as its director. During the meeting, Yang Lin, Chairman of Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group and Director of the Center’s Management Committee, presented appointment letters to Academician Yuan Liang, Academician Wang Yunmin, Academician Du Shigui, Researcher Dong Shuning, and other experts, appointing them as Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Center’s Technical Committee.
Following the conference, CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute, the National Coal Mine Water Hazard Prevention and Control Engineering Technology Research Center, and Wanbei Coal-Electricity Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The three parties will jointly establish a technological innovation consortium, deepening collaboration in key technology breakthroughs, industrial application of research achievements, and joint talent cultivation, injecting new momentum into the high-quality and safe development of the mining industry.
