CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute Showcases A Full Range of Geological Support Technologies And Equipment at The 2026 China Hydropower Station Construction (Nyingchi) Expo

The 2026 China Hydropower Station Construction (Nyingchi) Expo recently opened in Nyingchi, Xizang. On this national-level technical exchange platform, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute exhibited a series of technologies and equipment, including borehole trajectory measuring instruments, borehole visual survey meters, the ZMK5550TZJF50/120 rescue truck-mounted drilling rig (model), and a large-diameter casing-following rescue drilling rig (model). Over seven decades, the Institute has built deep technical strength across sectors such as hydropower, tunnel engineering, municipal engineering, and ecological restoration.

From R&D and manufacturing of standalone drilling equipment and geophysical prospecting instruments to building an industrial system with Eight Core Technologies, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute has integrated its technologies, products, and services into the entire process of coal resource exploration, development, and utilization, hazard control, and safety assurance.

At the expo, the Institute showcased a centralized display of mature geological support technologies, eco-environmental protection technologies, intelligent drilling rigs, and geophysical prospecting systems that have long been used in the coal industry. It also launched systematic promotion targeting sectors including water conservancy and hydropower, tunnel engineering, ecological restoration and urban geology for the first time.

This exhibition participation gave the Institute valuable insights into technical demands under harsh working conditions, including high altitude, ultra-deep burial, intense tectonic stress, and extremely stringent environmental protection requirements.
