CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute Successfully Signs Agreement To Establish An ATEX Testing Laboratory

Recently, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute successfully passed the assessment conducted by Element Certification Group (UK) and signed an agreement to establish an ATEX Testing Laboratory, marking the official launch of the first ATEX Testing Laboratory in Northwest China.

As the "passport" for accessing the EU's explosion-proof product market, the EU ATEX Directive imposes stringent safety requirements on explosion-proof products entering the EU market for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Since establishing an explosion-proof laboratory in May 2023 to focus on expanding its explosion-proof business, CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute has successively obtained over 30 qualifications, including work safety certification, CMA (China Metrology Accreditation), and CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment). It is the only testing and inspection institution in Northwest China qualified to issue explosion-proof certificates, and has issued more than 200 such certificates to the public to date.

CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute will continue to enhance the technical strength and service level of the laboratory in the field of explosion-proof testing and inspection, strengthen technical exchanges and cooperation with international authoritative institutions, and help more high-quality explosion-proof products smoothly enter the EU and global markets.

The two contracting parties will jointly commit to building a one-stop testing and certification solution for export to China and the EU, further improving service capabilities, and better meeting enterprises' compliance needs for product exports.
