Recently, the Mine Safety Service and Support Center of Xinjiang Emergency Management Department organized regulatory officials from all prefectures to attend a themed training on improving coal mine safety management and coalfield fire area governance capabilities. Two experts from CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute were invited to deliver lectures.
Expert Jin Dewu elaborated on the revisions contained in the 2025 Edition of the Coal Mine Safety Regulations. He delivered an in-depth interpretation focusing on coal mine geology and mine water prevention & control, specified mandatory work items for mines with complicated hydrogeological conditions, clarified new regulatory requirements for leading cadres stipulated in the updated code, and put forward targeted proposals for work safety management of coal mining enterprises.
Expert Jiang Tao focused on the prevention and control of coalfield/coal mine fire zones and goafs as well as slope management. He illustrated the background and hazards of coalfield and coal mine fire zones, interpreted requirements specified in coalfield fire extinguishing specifications and detailed rules for coal mine fire prevention and control, introduced detection, monitoring and treatment technologies for such fire zones, and summarized key points for slope management of coalfield fire areas.
