Recently, the project "Advanced Regional Exploration and Control of Limestone Water Hazards in the Coal Seam Floor of the Northern Wing of Panel 2 at Suancigou Coal Mine" – undertaken by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute – was officially launched in Jungar Banner, Ordos City. Over 70 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony, including leaders and relevant technical personnel from CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute, Yitai Group, and Suancigou Mining Company.

This project is not only the largest-scale water hazard control project in the Jungar Mining Area to date, but also the first ground-based regional comprehensive water hazard control project ever implemented at Suancigou Coal Mine. The construction plan of this project breaks through the traditional water hazard prevention and control model; once completed, it will systematically drive the "three transformations" in prevention and control strategies: from passive prevention to active control, from local treatment to regional governance, and from post-event remediation to advanced prevention.
Technical experts from CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute have carried out extensive preparatory work at the front lines of the Jungar Coalfield and the Suancigou Coal Mine. Ranging from the collection of basic geology data to the precise construction of directional drilling and the scientific implementation of grouting treatment, these efforts have laid a solid foundation for the control plan's scientific validity and feasibility.
CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute will continue to build a water hazard prevention and control technology system, strengthen the in-depth integration of water hazard prevention technology R&D and engineering practice, and provide multi-hazard, cross-field collaborative prevention and control solutions for more mines with complex geological conditions, thereby safeguarding mine safety.
