Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources publicized the Catalog of Advanced and Applicable Technologies for Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources (2025 Edition). Two innovative achievements independently developed by CCTEG Xi'an Research Institute—namely the "3D Geological Support Platform Technology" and the "Key Technologies for Prevention and Control of Water Hazards in Burnt Rock and Water Resources Protection"—were successfully included. This selection demonstrates the industry-leading strength in mineral resource exploration and development technologies.
3D Geological Support Platform Technology builds a 3D geological model of coal mines based on geological, hydrological, drilling, and geophysical data. It integrates monitoring data, such as real-time seismic monitoring during mining and excavation, as well as microseismic and electrical method monitoring, enabling it to provide real-time geological prediction and forecasting for areas ahead of mining and excavation activities and to offer data support for the safety of mining and excavation operations.
Key Technologies for Prevention and Control of Water Hazards in Burnt Rock and Water Resources Protection achieve advanced prevention and control of water hazards in burnt rock and effective protection of the roof aquifer water resources through fine detection of burnt rock boundaries, accurate delineation of water-rich zones, and segmentation and interception of aquifers.
