1. Introduction
Mine water prevention and control plan is a guiding report that serves mine water prevention and control work, guides proper technical management and project implementation for mine water prevention and control, ensures the scientificity, pertinence and effectiveness of water prevention and control works, and prevents and reduces water hazards. It is the main basis for the fund raising, project implementation and work arrangement related to mine water prevention and control.

Mine water control plan shall include the following contents:

3. Typical Projects
CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute Co., Ltd. has developed more than 100 mine water prevention and control plans, and coal enterprises and coal mines that had such planning carried out various water prevention and control works scientifically, efficiently and orderly, without mine water safety accidents.
For example, CCTEG Xi’an prepared a comprehensive water prevention and control planning report for 18 mines in Yanquan Coal Industry Group Headquarters. The mining areas were distributed in 7 counties and districts of Yangquan City and Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, covering the northeast of Qinshui Coalfield, an oversize coal-gathering basin, as shown in Figure 1. The report systematically analyzed the water-filling factors such as water-filling sources and water-filling channels of various mines, identified the main hidden dangers and problems of water hazards faced by mines, and developed detailed water prevention and control work plans. At the beginning of the year, Yangquan Coal Mine Group prepared the annual water prevention and control plan for 18 pairs of mines based on our water prevention and control plan and organized its implementation, which ensured the orderly development of various water prevention and control works, effectively curbed the occurrence of accidents and ensured the safety of water prevention and control in all mines.

A: According to the relevant requirements of Rules for Coal Mine Water Prevention and Control, the planning stage of mine water prevention and control is generally 5 years, and shall be amended when there are new water prevention and control problems in mines and major adjustments to the mining plan.

A: Medium-and long-term mine water prevention and control planning should adhere to the principles of people-oriented, prevention first, solid foundation, comprehensive measures, giving consideration to both hard and soft, advanced concept and scientific and technological innovation.

A: Mine water prevention and control plan is generally prepared jointly by coal enterprises (mines) and professional institutions or universities, reviewed by the chief engineer of coal enterprises (mines), and approved by the chief engineer of coal enterprises.
