Foundation pit support and dewatering project for Xian Science and Architecture Building

1. Introduction

The foundation pit was excavated vertically, with an average depth of 17.40m and a dewatering depth of 19.80m. In the process of foundation pit excavation and foundation pit dewatering, it was to ensure the safety of foundation pit and avoid the influence on the normal use of buildings and urban road around the foundation pit. The foundation pit was excavated without fertilizer trough (vertical), with an average depth of 17.40m and a dewatering depth of 19.80m. In the foundation pit excavation and dewatering, it is necessary to ensure the safety of the foundation pit and avoid affecting the normal use of buildings around the foundation pit and urban roads. At the same time, the construction was difficult and the construction period was long.

2. Solution

In order to ensure the foundation pit deformation of surrounding structures in the range of security, prestressed anchor cable composite supporting structure was mainly used in the pile foundation pit. In order to ensure the excavation, the precipitation was controlled, the design and construction of the project were carried on carry on according to the principle of "informatization construction, dynamic design". Horizontal deformation monitoring was conducted for the supporting structure of the foundation pit, settlement observation was conducted for surrounding buildings and urban roads, and water level observation holes were set at key positions around the foundation pit to monitor the change of underground water level.


3. Construction situation

The total area of the foundation pit is 11,248m2, and the construction period was 120 days. 337 pile revetings with pile diameter 800mm and 14 pile revetings with pile diameter 600mm were completed, total volume of 3,690.3 m3; 260.9 m3 crown beam, 21,953m anchor cable, 995.6m2 soil nailing wall support, 9,272.11 m2 shotcrete were completed. Foundation pit dewatering took 2 years.

Foundation pit dewatering lasted for 2 years.
