Boundary detection project of the burnt area of a mine in Xinjiang

1. Introduction

In the early stage of a mine construction in Xinjiang, the spontaneous combustion of coal seam is very serious. The burnt area is generally located near the coal seam outcrop, with shallow burial depth. The fire collapse fractured area is easy to receive the supply of atmospheric precipitation, which is a good space for containing, conducting and enriching water. When it is not discharged smoothly, there will be a large amount of water in the fracture space, which will affect the safe mining of the same layer of coal and the adjacent lower group of coal

2. Treatment solution

Magnetic exploration is a geophysical method to study the distribution of geological structure, mineral resources and other exploration objects by observing and analyzing the magnetic anomalies caused by the magnetic differences of rocks, ores or other exploration objects.

According to the determination of various rocks, igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks have relatively high magnetism, while sedimentary rocks have almost no magnetism. Therefore, the depth of igneous rock or metamorphic rock from the ground can be roughly determined by measuring the change of magnetic value. The instrument used in magnetic exploration is magnetometer, which has high sensitivity

3. Construction situation

The exploration was carried out during 8 days and 21 survey lines were measured.Then the drilling verification was carried out, and borehole ZK1701 revealed the fire zone.

4. Achieved accomplishment

The results show that there are four obvious abnormal magnetic reactions in the detection area, which are located near the outcrop of each coal seam and burnt to the deep, with irregular boundary. On-site photos were taken for the burning of the overburden after coal combustion and the scene of burning and smoking.
