1. Introduction

Shenmu Zhangjiamao Mining Co., Ltd. of Shaanxi Coal Group is located in the northwest of Shenmu City, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, about 36km away from Shenmu City. Administrative divisions are under the jurisdiction of Dianta Town and Caragana Tower Township in Shenmu City. At present, Zhangjiamao Coal Mine plans to mine 22202 and 22203 working faces which mainly mine 2-2 coal. According to the description of Hydrogeological Classification Report of Zhangjiamao Coal Mine (2013) and the known drilling data, the main aquifers in the upper part of the mining area of the working face are Quaternary loose aquifer, Jurassic bedrock weathered aquifer and Yan 'an Formation aquifer, among which the water content of bedrock weathered aquifer is stronger than that of other aquifers mentioned above.

Although weathering is common in the roof bedrock of 22202 and 22203 working faces, according to the drilling data, the weathering degree of the roof bedrock of the working face is uneven. Some drilling holes reveal that the weathering degree of the bedrock is strong (such as No.169 drilling hole), and some drilling holes reveal that the weathering degree of the bedrock is weak (such as No.157 drilling hole), which leads to uneven water abundance of weathered aquifer of the bedrock. 2-2 coal seam is close to bedrock weathered layer, and the caving fracture is likely to conduct the upper bedrock weathered aquifer, which has caused some potential safety hazards in the safe mining of the lower 2-2 coal seam.

Therefore, Shenmu Zhangjiamao Mining Co., Ltd. of Shaanxi Coal Group entrusted Xi 'an Research Institute Co., Ltd. of China Coal Science and Technology Group to apply the ground transient electromagnetic method to construct on the ground of 22202 and 22203 working faces, and to explore the distribution range of water-rich abnormal area of weathered aquifer overlying bedrock of 2-2 coal, which provides reference for the design and implementation of water prevention and control work in mining of these two working faces.

3.Construction Situation

In this geophysical exploration work, transient electromagnetic method was used to detect the water-rich of weathered aquifer overlying bedrock of 2-2 coal, and the distribution range of water-rich abnormal area was determined. The method selection was targeted and the construction scheme design was reasonable. In the process of exploration and construction, the construction was carried out in strict accordance with Technical Specification for Transient Electromagnetic Method of Ground Magnetic Sources (DZ/T 0187-2016), and 2485 physical points of transient electromagnetic method were completed, with an effective control of the detection area of 1.766km2, and the workload stipulated in the contract was completed. After statistical rating, the quality of the original data meets the specification requirements

4. Achieved accomplishment

Through the processing of transient electromagnetic method data, combined with geological data such as drilling holes and related maps of each horizon, the low resistance abnormal area in the target horizon is comprehensively analyzed On the basis of inversion of resistivity data, the distribution range of low resistivity anomaly area in target horizon is explained, and the water content/water yield of low resistivity anomaly area in target horizon is summarized and inferred.
