Transient electromagnetic method for Hydrogeological supplementary exploration

1. Introduction

According to the geological data, the overlying aquifer of the coal seam is a combination of sand and mudstone deposited in continental facies. The aquifer is thick, rich in water and uneven. In the process of roadway excavation and working face mining, the sandstone water of J2y and J2z sandstone aquifer of the roof of the coal seam 2-2 may pose a certain threat to the safe production of the mine.

2. Treatment solution

In order to find out the distribution range, relative strength characteristics and other hydrogeological conditions of the abnormal water-rich area in the upper stratum of coal seam 2-2 in the mine field, our company uses the transient electromagnetic method for exploration to provide scientific basis for the underground tunnel excavation and the prevention and control of water in the working face of the mining district.

3. Construction situation

The total exploration period was 25 days, including 21249 physical points, 62 survey lines and exploration area of 15.621km2.

4. Achieved accomplishment

Based on the processing and analysis of TEM data, combined with the geological data such as drilling and related maps of each layer, the low resistivity abnormal areas in each target layer were comprehensively analyzed. On the basis of inversion of resistivity data, the distribution scope of low resistivity abnormal areas in each target layer was explained, and the spatial occurrence state and abnormal strength of the abnormal areas were are analyzed, and the water-bearing / rich property of the low resistivity anomaly area in each target horizon was concluded.

According to the results of TEM exploration, the drilling and drainage work has been carried out for each low resistance abnormal area, and good results have been achieved, which provides scientific basis for the prevention and control of water in the underground tunnel driving and working face of the mining district.
