1. Introduction
Panzhuang coalbed methane development project is located in the southeast of Qinshui Basin, Shanxi Province. It is a national demonstration project of coalbed methane high tech developing and utilizing. In 2014, Shanxi Lanyan CBM Group Co., cooperated with CCTEG Xi’an Research Institute to develop coalbed methane in No. 15 coal seam. ZX-SH-UM15V/h well group was located near Guonan Village after geological survey.
2. Treatment solution
A group of directional well drilling (ZX-SH-UM15V/h) were constructed to develop coalbed methane (CBM) in No. 15 coal seam by using horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technology.
3. Construction situation
The cumulative footage of this well group is 2749.63 m. Among them, 2074.63 m footage is inside 15 # coal seam. The well was fractured by multi-stage hydraulic fracturing method.

4. Achieved accomplishment
After drainage and depressurization, the daily gas production from April 2015 exceeded 26,000 m3. Well bottom flowing pressure was 0.9MPa. Cumulative production reached 17.2 million m3 by the end of May 2018. This well group is the first horizontal well with hydraulic fracturing in 15# coal seam in Qinshui Basin. It is also the first coalbed gas well with sliding casing fracturing completion technology, and the highest gas production well in 15# coal seam.
