1. Introduction
In CBM development project of Yangcheng County Block in Jincheng area, the West Side of W3315 working face is protected by coal pillar, and the requirement of well trajectory control is high.
2. Treatment solution
During the surface in-seam drilling (SIS drilling) process, well trajectory was precisely controlled by using geosteering technology.
3. Construction situation
In 2016, a coal bed methane SIS drilling L-shape well (SHH06-01 well) was constructed in the southeast of Liuyao village, Dingdian town, Yangcheng County, Jincheng area. Its trajectory extends northward along the coal pillar protected by the west side of the W3315 working face in Sihe Coal Mine. 1025m footage was extends along the No.3 coal seam.

4. Achieved accomplishment
The well was completed in May 2016 and put into to producing on November 1, 2016, using jet pump drainage depressurization. The maximum daily production is 9696 m3. Until June 2018, daily average gas production remained at 8000 m3.The cumulative gas production reached 3.2 million m3. This well has a large gas production and a long stable production period. It helps for gas drainage and mining safety. At present, the underground coal seam in this area has been safely mined.
